Pure unsweetened Sahlep Powder

Ingredients (Serves 2):

• 500ml (2 cups) Whole Milk (or plant-based alternative like Almond or Oat)

• 1 tsp Pure Sahlep Powder

• 1-2 tbsp Sugar or Honey (Adjust to taste)

• Cinnamon and crushed pistachios for garnish

Instructions:

1. In a small bowl, mix the Sahlep powder with the sugar (this prevents the powder from clumping).  

2. Pour cold milk into a pot. Whisk in the sugar/sahlep mixture while the milk is still cold.

3. Turn the heat to medium-low. Stir constantly with a whisk or wooden spoon.

4. Bring to a gentle simmer. You will feel the texture thicken into a velvety cream.

5. Simmer for 2-3 minutes while stirring to fully activate the orchid root.

6. Pour into mugs, sprinkle generously with cinnamon and pistachios, and enjoy hot.
